CAD/Revit Specialist

Job Summary

This position is responsible for developing and supporting virtual design and construction (VDC) processes for company operations from preconstruction, design, procurement, production and installation. The CAD/Revit Specialist performs technical tasks in Revit and AutoCAD software.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes, but not limited to:

  • Setup and maintain firm AutoCAD and Revit projects (setup levels, views, sheets, etc.) adhering to firm CAD/Revit standards and the project BIM execution plan.
  • Maintain Revit models for all disciplines.
  • Manage weekly model sharing; download/upload Revit models, apply updates.
  • Work closely with project team members to provide feedback on updated model changes.
  • Lead model clash detection meetings to assist team members in solving conflicts.
  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings.
  • Provide technical support to team members.
  • Maintain a collaborative environment between AutoCAD and Revit operators, engineers and project managers.
  • Complete additional tasks as requested in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Revit standards and training materials for internal use.
  • Create and modify Revit content/families for use in WMA Revit models.
  • Maintain and upgrade firm AutoCAD blocks, standard details and layering standards.
  • Assist with AutoCAD and Revit system training for employees.
  • Assist in content creation for Revit and AutoCAD projects.
  • Assist in development of AutoCAD and Revit system enhancements..

Qualifications

  • Technical School, Community College or Associates Degree in REVIT and AutoCAD.
  • Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent organizational, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Ability to problem solve and provide recommendations and solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Microsoft Office experience.
